How is dry eye treated?

Diagnosis
Tear production and quality are evaluated to identify the cause of dry eye.

Treatment
Treatment may include artificial tears, changes in visual habits, or specific therapies depending on the cause

Eye protection
The goal of treatment is to improve eye lubrication, relieve symptoms, and protect long-term eye health.
If symptoms such as eye irritation, dryness, or blurred vision persist, it is important to have an eye examination to properly diagnose dry eye and determine the appropriate treatment.
